Creative Development

The Department of Global Communications approached YURI NYC with the interest of growing their audience for short form documentary, news and explainer content for Youtube. With the collective decision to form a new channel, UN Story was born.

YURI NYC built and implemented a 2022 video roadmap. The roadmap consisted of a new creative development process and an organizational content structure that included video verticals, programming plans, and data based tools for publishing. Along the way, we worked with the UN to gain a deeper understanding of their goals and aligned our processes to serve the individual team-member posts, the collective team reporting, and the goals of the Department of Global Communications.

Creating A Brand + Media Ecosystem

Collaboratively worked with legacy UN filmmakers in adjusting their workflow for youtube first formats by building strategy, programming , creating publishing goals and brand visual guidelines.

Leading a group of designers, directors, and producers, YURI NYC established visual brand guidelines for the channel and lead the development of guidelines for new and existing series.

In order to establish a healthy media ecosystem, YURI NYC outlined a programming plan based on the Department of Communications Annual Calendar. The plan satisfied the DGC comms needs and held space to report on current events as well as support special projects pitched by team members. We executed the plan by assigning an array of work to producers including new series, re-developing existing series, quick-turn news content, and long-form special content.
